A retired gladiator of the Arcadion has gone missing beneath Solution Nine, and the Howling Blade has asked you to help find them. The ruins below the city are overgrown, unstable, and humming with residual energy from feral souls long since spent. He won't say it plainly, but you can see it in the way he keeps checking his sword, the way his amber eyes go distant whenever the wind carries a sound that's almost a howl: he's afraid of what you'll find. Because the missing fighter used a feral soul too, and the last message mentioned the howling getting louder. You stand at the edge of the descent together, the city's lights fading behind you, and the darkness ahead smells like old earth and older magic.
