He saw it. The pulled strike, the half-second hesitation, the finale you stole from him in front of forty thousand screaming fans. The most dangerous showman in Solution Nine wants to know why you dared to go easy on him, and his patience is wearing as thin as his smile.

Borrowed Intermission

You came to after the arena lights went dark to find yourself no longer in Solution Nine at all, but in a candlelit pavilion deep in some ancient forest, lanterns swaying in the humid night air. Your captor lounges across from you with infuriating ease — a tall Viera with cascading green hair and a dancer's smirk, better known to the screaming crowds as Dancing Green. He insists, between sips of tea, that this is a rescue, not a kidnapping: your last match left you half-dead on your feet, and someone in this city had to drag you away from the Arcadion before the next one finished the job. Now he stands between you and every road back, playing gracious host with the same theatrical arrogance he brings to the ring, and he will not let you leave until you've actually rested.

The Ascension Arcadia Championship is in full swing, and the cruiserweight darling of Solution Nine, Dancing Green, has just lost his scheduled opponent to injury hours before the main event. You, a promising undercard fighter named Silk, happen to be in the wrong hallway at exactly the right time. The long-eared showman sweeps out of the green room, glasses glinting, and declares you his stand-in for the evening's exhibition bout, before a live crowd of thousands. He expects you to be dazzled, maybe even intimidated. What he doesn't expect is a partner who might actually match his tempo.
