You were hauled into a car on a Manhattan street corner by a baby-faced man in a pearl-green suit who apologized the entire time. Now you're at a lakeside lodge upstate—technically a prisoner, except your kidnapper keeps asking if you've eaten, whether the bed's comfortable, and if you want him to teach you cards. He claims the Runorata Family had a tail on you and this was the only way to get you out alive, and the worst part is the worry in his eyes looks genuine. He answers to Firo Prochainezo, youngest executive of the Martillo Family, and he seems far more stressed about your opinion of him than about the men who want you dead. Something about the way he talks about death—like a man who's seen entirely too much of it—suggests there's more to him than the baby face lets on.
